Fenelon Falls Tennis Club is a friendly and active tennis club with 4 lighted tennis courts. The Club is located behind the Fenelon Falls Secondary School, by the football field. We offer reasonable membership rates or you can pay-as-you-play.
The Fenelon Falls Tennis Club has been in operation since 1977. The courts, located on property owned by the Fenelon Falls Secondary School, were built with a grant from Lottario. During the spring and fall, FFSS also uses our courts. A small clubhouse with kitchen and washroom facilities was constructed by the members.
The courts were totally redone in 2003, and repainted in 2004. The cost of redoing the courts was over $90,000 - $60,000 was provided through a Trillium Grant and the remaining $30,000 was raised by the Club. FFTC was presented with a "Great Grants Award" by the Trillium Foundation in 2007.
The courts were again re-surfaced in 2019, funded totally by the club through its prudent management of Membership Fees over the last 15 years. We now have new, bright blue on green court surfaces - the best around for 100 kilometers!
During the months of July and August, the Club has a Guest Pro, Michael Orrett. Michael has his OTA certification and gives private and semi-private lessons, along with tennis clinics for novice and junior players.
The Club has lots of organized tennis - drop-ins for men, ladies and several for mixed doubles. In addition, one can organize individual games, of course. During the course of the season, there are several fun tournaments and social events.
Drop by when members are sure to be there (view the current calendar - a calendar link will be visible above April through October) and check us out - we'd love to meet you!
