Grace Ellery

     
My name is Grace Ellery, and I am excited to be returning for another season at FFTC as the Club Pro. I have just completed my third year in the Kinesiology program at the University of Guelph-Humber and am thrilled to be home for the summer.

I am a lifelong sports enthusiast and grew up playing as many sports as I could fit into my schedule, including baseball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, hockey, rugby, and basketball. I competed in Inferno Soccer on a first-place division team and played hockey with the Lindsay Lynx, earning both provincial gold and bronze medals. However, through all these experiences, tennis has always been my true passion.

I have been taking tennis lessons since the age of five and was part of the high-performance program in Newmarket, Ontario, under the coaching leadership of Brian Draxl and Shane Hickson. I am a Tennis Canada–certified instructor and am deeply passionate not only about playing tennis, but about teaching the game to members of my community. I believe that strong fundamentals, proper technique, positioning, and footwork create a solid foundation for long-term success and enjoyment in tennis. I am also excited to incorporate the principles of kinesiology into my coaching approach.

In addition, I have had the privilege of coaching the Fenelon Falls Secondary School tennis team for the past three years, helping them to reach the final OFSAA tournament.

During the 2026 season, I will be offering private, semi-private, and group lessons. I will also be running a variety of adult clinics, which will be posted on the FFTC website.  See our Programs and Lessons page for booking the clinics (filter by Program - Adult Course-Grace Ellery or Junior Course-Grace Ellery).  As well, I will be running summer camps for children ages 7–13. Camps begin June 29th and run from 1:00–3:00 pm throughout the summer. These camps follow the Tennis Canada Learn to Play Program and provide a fun, affordable way to introduce kids to the game.

One-month lesson package:

• Includes 4 lessons at a discounted, pre-paid, non-refundable cost of $140 (normally $160)
• A rain day will be provided, if needed
• Please note that rescheduling can only be accommodated for weather-related missed lessons and dates will be dependent on my schedule.

Two-month lesson package: 

• Includes 8 lessons at a discounted, pre-paid, non-refundable cost of $280 (normally $320)
• A rain day will be provided, if needed

Beginner’s Clinic (Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30 PM) - see Programs and Lessons for booking

• $15 per 1-hour clinic
• Sign up is required by Sunday 8:00 PM
• Please note that cash payment must be received before joining the clinic

• $20 per person per hour (must be paid prior to session beginning)
